Are “Allyship” and “Anti-Racism” Enough?

Just shy of a year since George Floyd’s murder and the global uprisings that followed, we invite organizational leaders, entrepreneurs and change agents to explore their part in healing the collective trauma of this experience, and identify a way forward that supports our personal growth and vision as leaders.

What Is Racial Equity, and How Can Organizational Leaders Help the World Achieve It?

“Equality treats everyone the same regardless of need, while equity achieves fairness by treating people differently dependent on need.”

- Business Insider

As we grapple with the recent verdict and emotional aftershock from last year’s tragedy, we still have to ask ourselves, “Have we really moved the needle towards true racial equity and justice ” If not, what does that look like? More importantly, how do white-identified entrepreneurs and organizational leaders play a part in that shift?

The reality is, it takes more than touting buzzwords like “Ally” and “Anti-Racism” on social media platforms and on corporate value posters to recognize, nurture, and fight for the needs of those affected by systemic racial inequity.

To achieve a new paradigm, white entrepreneurs and organizational leaders  have a pivotal role to play as key agents of change - yet even the most compassionate leaders face a number of challenges in that undertaking.

Challenges Leaders Face

Challenge #1

Fear of Doing Or Saying the Wrong Thing

Racial inequity is a sensitive subject, especially in the workplace. Often, white-identified leaders  stay silent out of fear of offending or causing more harm.

Challenge #2

Lack of Awareness

Racial inequity is so deeply embedded in our societal, institutional and organizational structures, it tends to go unnoticed by those who don’t experience its effects on a daily basis.

Challenge #3

Deficit of A Clear Vision

If pursuing “allyship” and “anti-racism” aren’t enough, then what role should organizational leaders play to ignite change? It can be difficult to develop a plan before we understand what “the work” really is.

During this 90-minute interactive experience, it’s our intention to help  you understand how to navigate these challenges with  courageous dialogue, a clear roadmap, and above all--- empathy.

Rehumanization Benefits All

Given the state of our world, rehumanization may feel like a tall order -- but the truth is, rehumanization is what will open the doors to greater personal growth, opportunity, and a better quality of life for everyone.

  • Invites us into the TRUTH that there is only ONE race = HUMAN.
  • Promotes new ways of thinking, being  and leading within ourselves,  our organizations and society at large.
  • Supports greater mental, spiritual and emotional health and overall wellbeing at work and in our families and communities.
  • Gives us access to new models and perspectives that drive new definitions for power and success.
  • Enables us to access a broader range of economic opportunities driven by a more inclusive global marketplace.
  • Expands our capacity to embrace new voices and perspectives that drive authentic connection, workplace innovation and advance the bottom line.

Isn't It Past Time for Meaningful Change?
